We've Come This Far By Faith............

Pastor Guy Anthony Mc Neil is a self-effacing leader that is synonymous with biblical ideology and spirituality. He was ordained in the ministry in 1982 by Pastor W. C. Manuel. This ordination was revolved around the establishment of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church. This ministry was derived to allow individuals to lean and depend on the mercy of God to free them from their sins. God utilized Pastor Mc Neil as in instrument to miraculously deliver his people in the community. Through the obedience of Pastor Mc Neil several sacred traditions were sustained in his ministry, the annual baptizing at the Detroit River. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and set a symbolic example for Christians to follow. He also expresses the importance of consuming communion yearly with a spirit of altruism and sincerity. In 1970 he attended Western Michigan University and Lawrence Institute of Technology in 1978 where he studied to become an Electrical Engineer. Education is a cornerstone of his life, and he continues to study to increase his knowledge base of academics and religion at Wayne State University. He also has a bachelor's degree in theology from Tennessee Bible University. Pastor Mc Neil has been employed at several prominent companies in Michigan including Detroit Edison, General Motors and the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and is currently a Controls Engineer for Detroit manufacturing Systems.
